Folio

Demo · three doors, and no checklist

The first week

A shop in week one does not need takings — it needs to know what to do next, and what it gets for doing it. Nothing is nagged, nothing expires, and a shop that never opens the third door has failed at nothing.

Door one — the till

The till is always the first button. Everything else can wait.

Door two — one shelf

Not the shop. One shelf, and stop when you are tired. Anything you do not count stays “not counted” — it is not zero, and Folio will not pretend otherwise. Stopping here is fine.

Door three — the storefront

Each door turns on a part of Folio that was quiet until then. Once all three are open, this screen is replaced by the ordinary home — it is not archived or collapsed; it simply stops existing, because a shop that is running does not need to be told how to start.

Demo values throughout — names, figures and shops on this page are illustrations.
